The Prerna Project, an initiative by SYF, aims to create awareness about human sexuality, HIV/AIDS, and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) at the school, college, and community levels. This comprehensive project has conducted various activities, including awareness sessions, poster exhibitions, competitions, and TOT (Training of Trainers) workshops. Celebrating World AIDS Day (WAD), the project hosts elocution and essay writing competitions to engage the community and promote understanding of these critical issues. Furthermore, awareness sessions are organized during significant cultural events such as the Ganesh Festival, Navratri Festival, and Youth Day to reach a broader audience. Through these dedicated efforts, the Prerna Project has successfully raised awareness among over 1,495 adolescents and youths, contributing significantly to public health education and prevention.
