Sarathi Youth Foundation’s Tobacco De-addiction Project has transformed the lives of numerous youths and women through its comprehensive initiatives.
We create awareness in society through poster exhibitions, awareness sessions, competitions and other activities i.e. Ek rakhi vyasanmukatichi, Tobacco Holi, jagar vyasanmukticha, Cancer Hospital visit etc. Creative awareness campaigns such as street plays, selfie points, marathons, and cultural events.
Our support includes health checkup camps, Tobacco Anonymous meetings, a tobacco helpline, and face-toface counseling. Through these efforts, we have significantly contributed to combating tobacco addiction and fostering a healthier, tobacco-free community.
Sarathi Youth Foundation use to organize oral checking camps in society, so as to find the patient’s early stage at the earliest for their early treatment to get out of the danger. Through such camps awareness is also generated regarding tobacco addiction and cancer.
Generally in TA meetings tobacco addicted persons or their relatives use to attend. I got such opportunity to attend TA meeting held in Nehru Yuva Kendra. I was tobacco addicted and liquor addicted also. By attending the said TA meeting I got much knowledge about the disadvantages and danger of these bad habits. I could get relief from Liquor addiction but I got stuck in tabacco addiction. Due to this meeting i could able to get rid of this bad addictions. It was a very good experience to become non-addicted person with others too.
Those who wants to get rid off tobacco addiction and consuming other tobacco products can take the benefit of counselling, they can visit sarathi youth foundations center at vinayak nagar, solapur in person. In addition to that those who cannot visit the center in person can get counselling through the helpline no of sarathi. A policy of confidentiality is followed strictly. Counselling is given without bias and impartially. This service is totally free for the benefit of society.
